A Thousand Clues Before Time

Explore a dinosaur valley with Kai and Rae. Follow glowing vines, spot tiny watches and picture clues, and peek into a cozy attic. Choose one small discovery and imagine the next adventure together.

For shared looking, ages 2–8. Start with a large dinosaur or a bright color; invite older children to describe smaller clues. Difficulty labels are suggestions, not a child assessment.

Look together

Every corner has a story.

Kai and Rae appear at several story moments in a detailed dinosaur valley with waterfalls, orange baby triceratops, a larger herd, green striped dinosaurs, red and blue watches, glowing vines, picture books and a small portal-framed attic.

A few things to notice

Follow a clue. Or your curiosity.

Choose any three if you like. Each clue shows one particular place in the picture—even when a friend appears more than once.

What catches your eye?

Start anywhere. You can choose a clue, name something you notice, or simply look together.

No timer. No score. Just things to notice together.

Discovery marks stay only while this picture page is open. Read the picture description or choose written clues for another way to join in.

Make it your kind of together time

For parents & teachers.

At home

Let your child choose a dinosaur, a color or a cozy corner to explore. There is no need to search the whole picture.

Settle in

Look at the valley together, then zoom into one small scene. Choose any three clues, or stop after a single discovery.

A little support

Choose between two places, search together, or let a partner operate the zoom. Welcome pointing, signing, drawing and home-language responses. Characters and watches appear more than once; each clue describes one pictured moment.

Leave room for their ideas

What do you notice before you make a guess?

Name a visible color, shape or action. Then wonder what the friends might be doing.

How could you help me find it without pointing?

Try a place word: beside the book, above the water or behind the log.

What might Rae draw for their next adventure?

Look inside the attic opening. Let your child choose a place, a friendly dinosaur or an object to draw or describe.

A gentle finish

Choose one detail to draw or tell someone about. Finding everything is optional.
