MORE WAYS TO JOIN IN
Explore Kiddos your way.
Children and grown-ups explore differently. We are working toward WCAG 2.2 Level AA and a website that gives people useful choices in how they read, listen, move, and play.
Use a keyboard or touch
Use the “Skip to content” link to move past navigation. Tab moves between controls; arrow keys move through app tabs. Activate a tab to choose it. Escape closes our dialogs and returns you to the button you used to open them.
Take your time
Website activities have no countdown or streaks. You can pause motion in the living village and music player, and the website respects your device’s reduced-motion preference. Enlarge text or zoom in using your browser.
Read, listen, or describe
The story preview includes visible text and optional narration. Picture-puzzle word clues and the color hunt’s named choices offer other ways to participate. Music starts only when you choose Play. Learning pages provide readable text alongside illustrated posters. Everyday wonders offers a user-paced page reader, swipe and keyboard controls, a large reading view, a vertical reading option and complete text transcripts.
Playtime, at your pace
The Playtime pictures offer zoom buttons, named pan controls, keyboard arrows and a larger view. Pinch or drag if you prefer touch. Choose a picture clue or written clue, ask for a hint, reveal one pictured example, or simply look freely. The written descriptions support shared exploration; they do not describe every visual detail. Printable guides and clues give families and teachers another way to join in.
Media and printables
YouTube films load only after a choice. Caption availability varies by video; summaries are not full media alternatives. Illustrated PDFs may not provide the same reading order or text access as the companion web pages. If a format gets in the way, please contact us.
Our current review
We use automated checks and browser tests for keyboard controls, focus, text enlargement, and responsive layouts. Physical-device and assistive-technology review is still in progress. We do not yet claim that every page or activity meets WCAG 2.2 AA.
Tell us what would help
Email contact@kiddos.ai with the page, the task you were trying, and your browser or assistive technology if you wish. Please avoid including a child’s personal details. We can discuss an alternative way to access the content.
