Kiddos Wealth Privacy Policy

Kiddos Wealth is developed and operated by Kiddos LLC ("Kiddos," "we," "us," or "our"). This policy describes the United States release, including local family records, optional on-device assistance, Apple services and support contact. The same English policy may appear as a fallback for other device languages or regions; it does not announce a release in other countries.

1. At A Glance

  • No Kiddos account, sign-in, advertising, advertising SDK, third-party analytics or cross-app tracking.
  • Wealth’s family features are free. Parent Settings offers an optional Kiddos+ subscription for participating Kiddos apps. There are no paid practice-coin packs, and Kiddos does not receive your bank or payment-card details through Wealth.
  • Family nicknames, goals, achievements and practice-coin records are saved on the device. The App does not upload these records to a Kiddos server or synchronize them with another family device.
  • Automatic branch suggestions, reflection-question selection and supported natural-language navigation use Apple's on-device model. They have no remote AI fallback. The App does not record your voice or your answers to reflection questions.
  • If you add Wealth's widget, its next-goal text and tree can be visible outside the App. A small display cache is stored in a shared device container; it is not uploaded by Wealth to iCloud or Kiddos.
  • Device backups, Siri, keyboard dictation, external destinations and messages you choose to send to support have separate processing described below.

Local records can still be personal information. "On device" does not mean that no information is stored or that everyone sharing the device has a private account.

2. Family Information Saved On The Device

The App stores information you enter or confirm so it can maintain each child's tree, goals and practice-coin balance:

  • A nickname, chosen avatar, creation date and randomly generated local identifier for each child. These identifiers separate family records; they are not advertising IDs or Kiddos accounts.
  • Goal text, branch category, agreed coin amount, recurrence, creation date, time zone and archived state. Completed and skipped occurrences also have local dates and identifiers.
  • Achievement text, participants, branch, activity/recording dates, related goal or completion identifiers, and any coin award. A shared achievement can belong to several children.
  • Collectible-card and earlier story-page unlocks, their original practice-coin prices and unlock dates, any saved reward target, and local request identifiers used to prevent duplicate awards or replay of an undone action. These are pretend-coin records, not bank balances or real-money card purchases.
  • The selected child and preferences such as music, sound effects, Terms acceptance version and local rating-prompt eligibility, attempt counts and dates, including when you choose the Rate action. Apple's TipKit maintains local tip eligibility and dismissal history.
  • A short-lived Shortcut handoff containing a random request ID, requested screen and time, and an opaque token when routing a widget tap. App-private widget mappings associate those tokens with the current child or goal occurrence so old links cannot apply to another child's records. Section 6 describes the separate display cache.

A nickname is sufficient. The App does not require a child's full name, date of birth, email, phone number, photograph, contacts, location or bank details. Please avoid sensitive details in goals and achievements, including health, school, address or identifying family information that is unnecessary for the activity. A goal's text may also appear on a widget if you add one.

3. Shared-Device Access And Grown-Up Checks

Wealth is intended to be operated by an adult on behalf of the family. Anyone able to open the App on a shared device may see its family trees and records and operate its controls, including Settings, child setup and card management. The App does not ask a grown-up question or verify the operator's identity. There are no separate private accounts for siblings. Use your device's security settings and keep control of access.

Use your device passcode and other device controls, supervise use, and check who is selected before saving. The App does not identify the speaker or infer who used a shared device.

4. Text Entry And Optional Dictation

The current goal and achievement editors have no App-owned recording control. Wealth does not start the microphone, create a voice recording or listen to your conversations. Reflection questions and story read-aloud play included audio; they do not record your answers.

If you choose dictation on Apple's keyboard, Wealth receives the resulting text as editable input. Siri and keyboard dictation are Apple features: depending on your device and settings, Apple may process requests on its servers and retain related information under its own policy. Do not assume that all dictation stays on the device. Typing remains available, and you can manage dictation in device settings.

Text becomes a family record only when you explicitly save or confirm. Closing or canceling an achievement draft, or backgrounding that flow, clears its unsaved text from the App's working state. See Apple's Siri, Dictation & Privacy notice for Apple's processing.

5. On-Device Text Suggestions

On supported devices and languages, the App uses Apple's local Foundation Models functionality:

  • Goal and achievement categories: the branch starts on Automatic. While you type, the App may process that activity description and language on the device to suggest a branch. This does not require a separate suggestion-button tap. Choosing a branch manually stops automatic suggestions for that draft. The request contains your description, including anything you typed into it, and category instructions. It does not include your stored family roster, selected children, profile identifiers, balances or achievement history. The suggestion does not choose participants, rewrite your description, decide coins, verify an activity or save a record.
  • Reflection questions: opening a saved leaf may process its activity description, branch and language on the device to choose relevant questions from the included question bank. The request includes the description exactly as entered, which may itself contain personal details, but does not add the family roster, profile identifiers, balances or other achievement history. The model selects existing questions; it does not write questions or analyze answers. The model’s working context and shortlist are temporary and are not saved to the family record. A bounded list of recently shown public question identifiers is saved locally as an App preference so questions can rotate across openings and App restarts. This list contains no child or leaf identifiers, activity descriptions, timestamps, answers or model-written text. If selection is unavailable or cannot be accepted, the App rotates among reviewed general questions.
  • Navigation: a supported natural-language screen request may be classified on the device against seven public App destinations. The model receives the request and screen instructions, not your saved family records. It can help open a screen or a blank editor; it cannot confirm goals, delete records, award or spend coins. Details within that request are not automatically saved into a goal or achievement.

Review and correct fields before Save or Confirm. Suggestions can be inaccurate or unavailable; manual entry and category selection remain available. The editor's starter examples and the wording and recordings of reflection questions are included content. The local model may help select which included reflection question is shown, as described above. Spoken reflection answers are not captured, analyzed or stored by Wealth.

These App-owned model features do not send your input to a Kiddos server, a remote AI provider or Apple's Private Cloud Compute. Kiddos does not use family records or drafts to train an AI model. The App does not deliberately write those raw inputs to its diagnostic logs. Apple controls its own system software and diagnostic settings, described separately below.

6. Siri, Search And The Optional Widget

Screen Navigation

Wealth's Shortcuts and search actions open existing screens, including the goal and achievement editors, leaves and rewards. The App-owned navigation handoff contains no child names, notes, audio, balances or history. A widget handoff can include an opaque token that only the App resolves against its local records. Actions still require the normal App confirmation; opening a screen cannot save an achievement, complete a goal or spend coins automatically. The handoff expires for routing after two minutes and is removed when consumed or when an expired request is checked; a closed App does not necessarily delete a preference at an exact wall-clock time.

Wealth indexes only seven public screen destinations for Apple's search features. It does not index family names, goal text, achievements, balances or owned-card records. A navigation request supplied by Siri or system search can still be processed by Apple under Apple's policies before it reaches the App. Manage Siri and search visibility through device settings.

Widget Display Outside The App

If you add the Wealth widget, it can display the selected child's growing tree and next available goal. The App prepares a small cache containing the tree illustration, up to eight scheduled goal-display entries, goal text, display times and opaque navigation tokens. It does not separately include a child's nickname, achievement text, coin balance or complete family history. Names or sensitive information that you put in a goal's text will still appear as part of that text.

This cache is stored locally in the shared app-group container used by participating Kiddos apps so Wealth's widget extension can read it. Other apps entitled to that same container can technically access it; it is not a separate private account. Wealth does not upload this widget cache to CloudKit or a Kiddos server, and marks the cache directory as excluded from device backup. WidgetKit controls display and refresh timing. The widget itself does not read the family database or make network requests.

The App refreshes the cache after changes to selection or family records and removes obsolete token mappings as it reconciles those records. Clearing the family replaces the display cache with an empty snapshot when the update succeeds. A previously rendered widget may remain visible until Apple refreshes it. Remove the widget if you do not want goals visible outside the App. Removing a widget does not itself erase the App's records or cached snapshot, and expiration of a scheduled entry is a display rule rather than a timed deletion guarantee. Shared-container data may remain after uninstall while another participating app is installed.

7. Apple Services, Links And Sharing

The Kiddos Family discovery feature reads the Apple App Store storefront country to determine availability. When its App Store link is tapped, the App checks the preferred Apple destination and opens an App Store destination, using a fallback when needed. That request does not attach family nicknames, profile identifiers, goals, achievements or balances. Apple receives ordinary connection information, such as an IP address, when its services are contacted.

Optional Kiddos+ Membership

Apple’s StoreKit handles Kiddos+ purchases, renewals, offer redemption and restoration. The App reads verified transaction and subscription information, such as the product, subscription status, renewal or expiration dates and revocation, to show membership and prevent duplicate offers. Apple handles payment and its Apple Account; you do not create a Kiddos account.

To recognize membership across participating Kiddos apps, the App maintains a small entitlement record in shared storage on this device and, when available, Apple’s private CloudKit database for your iCloud account. It contains membership status, source product and app, and verification and expiration dates. Participating Kiddos apps signed for the same shared container can read this record. It contains no family nicknames, goals, achievements, voice notes, tree history or practice-coin balances. This is subscription access sharing, not family-record synchronization or advertising tracking. Apple Account and iCloud availability can affect restoration and cross-app recognition.

The App also keeps local subscription-history and origin hints so it can explain where to refresh an older membership. Cache freshness limits determine whether a record can authorize membership; they do not automatically delete that record at an exact time. These records are updated or invalidated as subscription status is checked. Wealth’s free family features remain available if membership cannot be verified. Practice-coin awards and card reveals do not create StoreKit payment transactions or enter this subscription record. The separate widget cache described in Section 6 uses the same shared device container, but is not part of the entitlement record sent to CloudKit.

Settings includes optional App Store, FAQ, Kiddos website, email and social-service links. Opening one leaves the App or opens another service, whose provider may receive connection/device information and process your interactions under its own policies. The App does not append family records to these links. The native Share action shares the App Store URL, not a child's tree or history; you choose the destination and whether to send it.

Apple handles app distribution and system diagnostics. If you choose to share analytics or crash information through Apple's settings, Apple may process device, performance or crash information and make developer reports available. This is separate from the family records stored by Wealth. Kiddos does not install an analytics or advertising SDK to monitor family activity.

8. Storage, Retention And Deletion

Family records remain in the App until you change or remove them. They are stored in the App's local container using iOS file protection. The App also maintains a local recovery copy; neither file is a Kiddos cloud account. If records cannot be read, the App preserves them for recovery rather than silently treating the family as new.

Operating-system backups may include App data according to your Apple and device settings. An iCloud or computer backup is different from live family synchronization. Restoring an older backup may restore older records. See Apple's explanation of iCloud Backup.

Your in-app choices have these effects:

  • Edit a nickname: changes that profile and refreshes its local recovery copy. Renaming a profile does not rewrite a name already typed into goals or achievements.
  • Archive a goal: stops its future active use while retaining its agreement and history. Archiving is not deletion.
  • Delete a leaf: swiping to delete in a child's leaves browser removes that child's participation and reverses that child's associated coin award. If the achievement was shared, it remains in the other participants' histories with its existing text and awards. The underlying achievement is removed when no participants remain. You may first need to return an unlocked card to avoid a negative balance. Minimal random request identifiers can remain to prevent a delayed duplicate action; they do not retain the removed achievement's text. Family reset removes these identifiers.
  • Delete a child: removes that profile, its goals, balance, unlocks and individual achievements. A shared achievement remains for its other participants with its existing text. If that text identifies the removed child, remove the relevant remaining leaves too if you want it removed from those histories.
  • Return card & coins: removes that child's unlock and restores its original practice-coin price; it does not delete the achievements that earned the coins or issue a money refund. A saved reward target, if present, is separate from an unlocked card.
  • Delete All Family Data: clears the family records and replaces the local recovery copy when the save succeeds. Widget cache updates have the separate timing limits described in Section 6. General preferences, Terms acceptance, TipKit history, Apple backups, Siri history, subscription records and support correspondence are separate. Family reset does not cancel Kiddos+ or erase its shared entitlement record. If a storage operation fails, follow the App's error or recovery message rather than assuming deletion succeeded.
  • Delete the App: deleting it through iOS removes its local App data from that device. Merely offloading it may retain data. Existing device/computer backups and material independently shared outside the App are not erased by uninstalling. Shared app-group data may remain while other participating apps are installed, and private CloudKit subscription records are separate from the local App container. Uninstalling does not cancel an Apple subscription. Manage or cancel subscriptions through Apple’s subscription settings. Contact us for help with subscription-record privacy requests; deleting a cache does not erase Apple’s purchase records, and a valid entitlement can be re-created during verification.

When an edit or deletion uses the privacy-deletion path, the App removes the older recovery copy before committing the replacement so a deleted record is not intentionally restored from that copy. These controls do not erase independent Apple or computer backups. Manage those backups and Apple's Siri history with Apple.

9. Support Correspondence

If you email us, Kiddos and the email services used to deliver and store correspondence receive your email address, message, attachments and ordinary email metadata. We use that information to respond, troubleshoot, handle requests and meet applicable obligations. We do not automatically attach family records to a support email. Please do not send children's full names, recordings or family history unless necessary to explain a problem.

Support correspondence is kept as needed to resolve the request, handle related follow-up and meet legal or security obligations. You can ask us to review, correct or delete correspondence you sent; lawful retention exceptions may apply. We cannot retrieve or remotely delete your local family records from a Kiddos server. We may disclose information we actually hold when required by law or through service providers helping deliver support. We do not use correspondence for advertising profiles or sell it.

10. Children And Privacy Choices

Wealth is intended for parents and authorized adult caregivers to operate on behalf of their families. It still stores information about children as described above. Its local profiles are not online child accounts, and it does not ask children to contact Kiddos or upload their records. Terms acceptance is not presented as verified parental consent for unrelated online collection.

Parents can review and manage local records through the App, type instead of using Apple's dictation, choose categories manually, remove widgets, and avoid external services. If you believe a child has sent personal information to us through support, contact us so we can assess and address it, including deletion where required. Please provide only what is needed to locate the correspondence.

We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not use targeted advertising in Wealth. Depending on applicable law and the information Kiddos actually holds, you may have rights to request access, correction or deletion. Contact us to make a request; we may need proportionate information to verify your authority. Do not send identity documents or child records unless we explain why they are necessary. We do not penalize you for exercising an applicable privacy right.

11. Changes And Contact

We will make an updated policy available in the App when practices change and provide additional notice or obtain consent where required. The date above identifies this revision.
