Effective Date and Last Updated: 08/31/2026

Kiddos TV is a Kiddos AI product provided by Kiddos LLC ("Kiddos," "we," "us," or "our"). It is designed for young children to use with a parent or legal guardian.

Kiddos TV does not require a Kiddos account. We do not add an advertising network or analytics SDK, sell personal information, or use a child's activity for behavioral advertising or cross-app profiling. Viewing history, channel choices, and parental controls are stored locally on the device. However, Kiddos TV is not an offline-only app: it uses Google/YouTube to retrieve and play videos and Apple to distribute the app, process purchases, and synchronize limited subscription-entitlement data. Those services receive the limited data described below.

1. Scope and Roles

This Policy explains data handling in the Kiddos TV iOS app, including information processed locally, sent to Apple or Google/YouTube to provide app functions, or voluntarily sent to Kiddos for support.

Apple and Google/YouTube also process information under their own privacy policies and determine some purposes and retention independently. Links and operator contact details appear in Section 10.

2. Information Stored Locally on the Device

Kiddos TV stores the following app data locally so its child and parent features work:

  • viewing history and playback progress;
  • the parent-selected channel lineup, favorites, and catalog preferences;
  • content filters and language, age-band, and category selections, which are preferences and are not used by Kiddos to identify a child;
  • screen-time and break settings, reminder choices, and other parent controls; and
  • technical state needed to keep the app stable and remember those choices.

Kiddos does not receive this local activity on a Kiddos server. Parents can change or clear available history and settings in the app. Deleting the app removes its local app container, subject to Apple's device-backup and restoration behavior. Deleting the app does not necessarily delete information already processed by Apple, Google/YouTube, or a private iCloud database.

3. Information Processed Off the Device

3.a. YouTube Data API

Kiddos TV sends public YouTube channel or video identifiers to the YouTube Data API to retrieve public metadata such as titles, thumbnails, channel information, and availability. As with an ordinary internet request, Google may also receive network and technical information such as an IP address, request time, device or app information, and API-request details. Kiddos TV does not ask a family to sign in to Google and does not use a child's Google account to upload, comment, like, or otherwise write to YouTube.

3.b. Embedded YouTube Player

When a video is loaded or played, the embedded YouTube player receives the video identifier and may receive connection, device, browser or web-view, playback, cookie, or similar identifier information. Google determines its processing and retention under its policies. Kiddos does not use this information to personalize advertising or create a behavioral profile. YouTube may control and display contextual advertising or other platform material within its player; Kiddos does not select individual advertisements or receive advertising-profile data.

3.c. Apple StoreKit and the App Store

Apple processes app downloads, purchases, subscriptions, restorations, refunds, and billing. Kiddos TV receives limited StoreKit information needed to recognize access, such as product and transaction identifiers, subscription status, and expiration or verification dates. Kiddos does not receive payment-card details from Apple.

3.d. Private iCloud/CloudKit Entitlement Record

When Apple services are available, Kiddos TV may store limited Kiddos+ entitlement information in the Apple account holder's private iCloud database and shared app group so eligible Kiddos apps can recognize access. This record may include the product identifier, active or inactive state, verification and expiration dates, and the originating Kiddos app. It does not contain a child's name, birthday, viewing history, channel selections, or parent-control settings.

3.e. Support Communications

If a parent voluntarily contacts Kiddos, we receive the email address and message provided and any device, operating-system, purchase, or diagnostic details the parent chooses to include. Please do not send a child's personal information. We use support information to reply, investigate problems, protect the service, and meet legal obligations.

4. Why Information Is Used

The limited processing described above is used to:

  • retrieve and play selected YouTube content;
  • provide local history, preferences, and parent controls;
  • process and recognize purchases and Kiddos+ access;
  • answer support and safety reports;
  • maintain security, prevent misuse, and comply with law; and
  • diagnose and improve the app without adding a Kiddos analytics or advertising profile.

5. Disclosure, Sale, and Advertising

Kiddos sends only the function-specific data described in Section 3 to Apple and Google/YouTube. We may also disclose support information to vendors that help us operate email or respond to a valid legal request, or when reasonably necessary to protect users, Kiddos, or others.

Kiddos does not sell personal information. Kiddos does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising and does not use a child's app activity for targeted advertising. This statement describes Kiddos's practices; Apple and Google/YouTube control their own services under their policies.

6. Retention and Deletion

  • Local app data remains until it is cleared in the app, replaced through ordinary use, or removed with the app, subject to Apple's backup and restoration behavior.
  • Private iCloud entitlement data may remain while needed to recognize or restore subscription access across eligible Kiddos apps. Removing Kiddos TV only removes the local copy and does not necessarily delete the private iCloud record.
  • Support correspondence is kept only as reasonably necessary to answer the request, maintain business and security records, resolve disputes, or comply with law.
  • Apple and Google/YouTube determine retention for information they control. Their privacy tools or support channels may be needed for requests concerning that information.

A parent may contact Kiddos using Section 11 to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information controlled by Kiddos. We may need enough information to verify and complete a request, but we will not require a Kiddos account.

7. Children's Privacy and Parent Choices

Kiddos TV is child-directed. It does not ask a child for a name, birth date, email address, precise location, photo, voice recording, contacts, or a Kiddos account. The app's parent gate restricts child access to adult-managed controls; it is not identity verification and is not used to build a profile.

Network and persistent-identifier information may nevertheless be processed by Apple or Google/YouTube when their services are used, as described in Section 3. Kiddos limits its use of that processing to providing the requested app functions and does not use it for child profiling or behavioral advertising.

Parents can manage local history, channels, filters, time controls, and reminders in the parent area; avoid playing YouTube content by not opening a video; or stop using and delete the app. Deleting the app alone does not direct Apple or Google to delete information they control.

8. United States Privacy Rights

Depending on where a parent lives and subject to legal exceptions, the parent may have rights to know, access, correct, or delete personal information controlled by Kiddos; obtain a portable copy; opt out of certain sale, sharing, or targeted-advertising uses; and appeal or avoid discrimination for exercising a right. Kiddos does not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Parents may ask to review or delete information collected from their child and may refuse further collection where applicable. Because Kiddos does not maintain a child account or receive the child's local viewing history, we may have no Kiddos-held child record to return. Requests about support correspondence may be sent to us. Requests concerning Apple or Google/YouTube-controlled information may need to be made through that provider.

9. Security and International Processing

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures appropriate to the limited information Kiddos controls. No storage or transmission method is completely secure. Apple and Google operate global services, so information processed by them may be handled in countries other than the family's country under their applicable safeguards and policies.
