How does a story adventure work?

Choose a story together, check a clear play area and stay beside your child. Find colors and safe everyday objects with the camera. Every successful find restores part of the picture. Short routes contain 6, 8 or 10 clues, matched to the age range you choose, without asking for a birthday.

Who is Quest for?

Quest is parent-led play for children ages 5 and older. A grown-up chooses the play area, stays close for the whole adventure and stops unsafe play. Keep the screen down while moving and stop before aiming. Do not play near streets, stairs, water or moving vehicles.

Does the camera save or upload pictures?

No. Camera recognition runs on the device. Quest does not save or upload camera frames and does not request location permission. Temporary recognition context is discarded; local story progress, settings and rewards stay on the device.

What if we cannot find a clue?

Choose Different clue to replace the unfinished clue without losing completed progress. Spoken guidance and readable instructions help you follow along. Recognition can make mistakes, and you can stop whenever you need to.

Does Quest work offline?

Core story adventures, practice finds and bundled narration work offline. Apple purchase and restore services need a connection. Optional on-device assistance depends on compatible hardware, system features and settings.

Which languages are supported?

Kiddos Quest’s interface, story narration and clues are in English.

What is included for free?

Three free play days are included. A day counts only after the first successful find; starting setup or cancelling without a successful find does not use a day. More starts on a counted day are included. After the sample, Quest Premium or eligible Kiddos+ access supports continued play.

What do Premium and Kiddos+ add?

Quest Premium provides unlimited story adventures and practice quests through monthly or yearly plans. Kiddos+ is a separate membership for participating Kiddos apps. A grown-up reviews current prices, eligibility and renewal terms before buying.

Is the website example the app?

The website offers a small tap-based story example without camera access. The iPhone and iPad app uses supervised camera clues, authored story adventures and local progress.

Where is Kiddos+ available?

Kiddos+ is currently offered in the United States. New purchase availability depends on the Apple storefront, available products and successful iCloud setup. Individual app availability and standalone plans can differ. The in-app purchase screen shows the options available to you.

How do I restore Kiddos+ on another device?

Connect to the internet and open the app originally used to subscribe. In its grown-up settings, use Restore Purchases with the Apple Account that made the purchase. Check iCloud is enabled for the account being used, then open the other participating Kiddos apps. Cross-app membership recognition and Apple Family Sharing are different: do not assume that a different family member’s Apple Account is eligible. Check the subscription’s current Apple sharing settings or contact us before buying again.

How do I manage or cancel a subscription?

Use the subscription controls in the original purchasing app or your device’s Apple subscription settings. Apple shows the current price, renewal date, cancellation and any eligible sharing options. Removing an app does not cancel an Apple-billed subscription.

Is the free app sample a subscription trial?

No. An app-provided book selection or learning, listening or play allowance is separate from an Apple subscription trial. The app explains its current sample. If an Apple trial is offered, eligibility, duration, price and automatic-renewal terms are shown before the grown-up confirms the purchase.

What can I ask Siri?

Use simple voice entry points to start a shared story adventure or open the reward gallery.

  • Siri, start a quest in Kiddos Quest.Enter the normal adventure-start flow.
  • Siri, show my rewards in Kiddos Quest.Open the reward gallery.

A grown-up still confirms the play setup. Voice actions do not bypass camera permission, parent checks or an adventure already underway.

What can I search for in Spotlight?

Search covers public story adventures and the Colors, Letters & Numbers, and Objects collections.

  • ColorsLook for the Quest collection result.
  • Kiddos QuestFind the app and its Play, Browse and Rewards entry actions.

Search does not expose camera frames, children’s spoken responses or reward history. Choosing a story still follows the ordinary parent-supervised start.

What does the Home Screen widget do?

A Story to Explore previews one story adventure with its artwork. Tapping it enters that exact full adventure’s start flow, with a grown-up’s confirmation still required.

Choose small, medium, large or iPad extra-large layouts. The widget favors unfinished adventures, then older completed ones. Rotation depends on iOS timing. Viewing it does not start the camera or spend play access.

Add it to your Home Screen

  1. Install the latest version and open the app to complete setup.
  2. Touch and hold an empty part of the Home Screen. Choose Edit, then Add Widget, and find Kiddos Quest.
  3. Choose a size, add the widget, then finish editing. On older system versions, the gallery may use a + button.
How can I use the app with Shortcuts?

Play, Browse and Rewards provide quick ways into the app, alongside configurable story and collection actions.

  • Choose our next adventureUse Browse to open the existing story collection and decide together.
  • Revisit rewardsUse Rewards to open the ordinary gallery.

Shortcuts open authored activities. They do not generate arbitrary new stories or turn supervised camera play into a hands-free activity.

Make a shortcut

  1. Open Shortcuts, start a new shortcut and search the action list for Kiddos Quest.
  2. Choose an available action, fill in any choices and give the shortcut a clear name.
  3. Run it once with a grown-up to check the result. Keep any app setup, unlock or parent confirmation in place.
Why can’t I see an action, search result or widget yet?

Install the latest app version on a compatible device, then open it and complete setup. System actions can depend on your device, language and Apple settings.

The examples use English. Features can depend on device, system version, language and region. Some natural-language requests need a supported on-device model; simple named actions are a separate feature. Apple’s Siri service has its own processing rules, even when an app’s own helper runs on device. These native features do not run on this website.

A few things to check

  1. After updating, open the app and finish its initial setup before trying system actions.
  2. For missing search results, check the app’s Show App in Search and Show Content in Search settings. Siri also needs to be enabled for the app where that setting is offered.
  3. If a spoken request fails, try the matching action in Shortcuts or open the app directly. Apple controls recognition, result order and how many quick actions fit on screen.
