Kiddos Music
Kiddos Music — Helpful answers.
Getting started, everyday use, and clear answers for grown-ups.
Do I need to make a playlist?
No. Choose Sleep, Calm, or Focus to begin the corresponding music experience. Kiddos Music is designed around a simple family ritual rather than searching for individual tracks.
Can the music stop on its own?
Yes. Built-in timers and automatic fade-outs give the music a gentle ending, useful for bedtime and transitions.
What are the visuals for?
Soft visual worlds accompany each listening mood. Choose a comfortable volume and let the music sit quietly alongside your routine; there is no task your child has to complete.
Can we listen while traveling?
Set up the downloaded app before leaving. Its core music uses local content, while purchases and subscription recovery need a connection. The website player needs a connection to load its sample track.
Is Kiddos Music a sleep or therapy treatment?
No. It offers music for everyday family routines. It does not diagnose, treat, or guarantee sleep, concentration, emotional regulation or wellbeing outcomes.
Does a free sample start a subscription?
No. Included listening access and the website samples do not start a paid subscription. Any Apple purchase or trial has its own grown-up confirmation and displayed renewal terms.
Where is Kiddos+ available?
Kiddos+ is currently offered in the United States. New purchase availability depends on the Apple storefront, available products and successful iCloud setup. Individual app availability and standalone plans can differ. The in-app purchase screen shows the options available to you.
How do I restore Kiddos+ on another device?
Connect to the internet and open the app originally used to subscribe. In its grown-up settings, use Restore Purchases with the Apple Account that made the purchase. Check iCloud is enabled for the account being used, then open the other participating Kiddos apps. Cross-app membership recognition and Apple Family Sharing are different: do not assume that a different family member’s Apple Account is eligible. Check the subscription’s current Apple sharing settings or contact us before buying again.
How do I manage or cancel a subscription?
Use the subscription controls in the original purchasing app or your device’s Apple subscription settings. Apple shows the current price, renewal date, cancellation and any eligible sharing options. Removing an app does not cancel an Apple-billed subscription.
Is the free app sample a subscription trial?
No. An app-provided book selection or learning, listening or play allowance is separate from an Apple subscription trial. The app explains its current sample. If an Apple trial is offered, eligibility, duration, price and automatic-renewal terms are shown before the grown-up confirms the purchase.
What can I ask Siri?
Name the listening mood and include Kiddos Music in your request.
- Siri, play sleep music in Kiddos Music.Open the Sleep routine with your saved timer.
- Siri, play calming music in Kiddos Music.Request the Calm routine.
- Siri, play focus music in Kiddos Music.Request the Focus routine.
The Sleep wording has been checked by voice. Calm and Focus are registered phrases; use their Shortcuts buttons if Siri does not recognize them. Playback opens the app and keeps its normal listening access. These commands do not set a new timer duration.
What can I search for in Spotlight?
Search for a routine, soundscape or exact track title from the app’s library, then choose the Kiddos Music result.
- Kiddos MusicFind the app and its Sleep, Calm and Focus actions.
- SleepLook for the Kiddos Music routine result, or use the full name of a soundscape or track you know.
Results open the usual foreground player. Search includes public music titles and artwork, not your listening history or family settings. Apple decides which matching results appear first.
What does the Home Screen widget do?
The Start Routine widget is being prepared for a future update. Choose Sleep, Calm or Focus for a Home Screen tile; tapping it is designed to open that routine with the saved timer.
The planned layouts are small, medium, large and iPad extra-large. Widget setup and playback still need final device checks, so this is a preview rather than an available-feature promise. It is a chosen routine tile, not a rotating playlist or an embedded music player.
Add it to your Home Screen
- When the update is available, install it and open the app to complete setup.
- Touch and hold an empty part of the Home Screen. Choose Edit, then Add Widget, and find Kiddos Music.
- Choose a size, add the widget, then finish editing. On older system versions, the gallery may use a + button.
How can I use the app with Shortcuts?
Find Kiddos Music in Apple’s Shortcuts app. Sleep, Calm and Focus are the three quick actions. Configurable actions include Start Routine, Find Music, Play Music and Pause, Resume or Stop Listening.
- Our calm momentAdd Start Routine, choose Calm, and save a shortcut with a name your family recognizes.
- A familiar trackChoose an available track with Play Music and run it to enter the regular player.
Set the timer in the app. Shortcuts do not add queue, shuffle or repeat controls, change membership access, or guarantee playback while the app is in the background.
Make a shortcut
- Open Shortcuts, start a new shortcut and search the action list for Kiddos Music.
- Choose an available action, fill in any choices and give the shortcut a clear name.
- Run it once with a grown-up to check the result. Keep any app setup, unlock or parent confirmation in place.
Why can’t I see an action, search result or widget yet?
This is an update preview. Some described features may not be in your installed App Store version yet. Check the app’s release notes when an update becomes available.
The examples use English. Features can depend on device, system version, language and region. Some natural-language requests need a supported on-device model; simple named actions are a separate feature. Apple’s Siri service has its own processing rules, even when an app’s own helper runs on device. These native features do not run on this website.
A few things to check
- After updating, open the app and finish its initial setup before trying system actions.
- For missing search results, check the app’s Show App in Search and Show Content in Search settings. Siri also needs to be enabled for the app where that setting is offered.
- If a spoken request fails, try the matching action in Shortcuts or open the app directly. Apple controls recognition, result order and how many quick actions fit on screen.
